We invite you to unleash your creativity and join us for a long weekend in nature. This retreat offers three days with daily yoga, guided meditation and breathwork sessions led by Kathryn as well as fun filled art making sessions, during which you will immerse yourselves into the stunning and unique natural environment here at Nomada Retreat.

Your art teacher Lucy will guide you to work freely using a wide range of drawing approaches, to include printing techniques, inks, oil pastels, drawing from shadows, taking rubbings and the use of natural objects and twigs as drawing tools. You will leave relaxed, inspired and with a diversely beautiful set of studies which will be a personal visual diary to depict a unique creative experience in the wild mountains of Southern Catalunya.

There will be plenty of time for you to walk, swim and relax in a hammock or book yourself in for a restorative holistic treatment.

Accommodation is shared in twin rooms and all delicious vegetarian meals, snacks and drinks are included in the price.

Meet the teachers

Lucy Farrant is an Artist and Art teacher living in East Sussex, UK. She works in a variety of different media ranging from textile art, drawing, painting and sculpture. Lucy enjoys exploring a range of subject matter including the natural world, ancient myths and the female form. Having completed an MA in Constructed Textiles at the RCA Lucy regularly works with textiles and dyes, painting onto silks and canvas and creating biomorphic forms in the form of soft sculptures. Drawing has always been an essential underpinning to her artworks and is the discipline that she always returns to. Lucy has taught Art for 20 years and is passionate about sharing her love of art making and the many benefits that tapping into our creative selves can have on our day to day lives.

 


 

Having spent 18 years working in health and wellness industry Kathryn is passionate about facilitating relaxation and self care. She provides a safe and nurturing environment where students can delve deeper into their own inner landscape discovering their own possibility.
Kathryn teaches asana, breathwork, mindfulness and yoga nidra with integrity and wisdom. She empowers students to develop their own sense of awareness, guiding them on their own journey of discovery, whilst weaving the connection between mind, breath, and movement. Her classes have a strong focus on exploration and growth. Kathryn creates a community environment and always leads with clarity and authenticity.
