This was a restorative, inspiring & happy weekend. I did the yoga & art retreat which was a brilliant combination in a gorgeous place. Kat is such a lovely, calm and friendly host who also cooks amazing food, i bought the Anna Jones recipe book before I’d even got home! Her yoga classes are just right- balance of movement and rest/ meditation. Lucy the art teacher was also fab because she got us out of the thinking of ‘it’s not perfect/ good enough’ and into just having fun and exploring which actually meant I produced things I loved! Couldn’t recommend this place enough, I can’t wait to go back 🙂

This place is simply magic. Beautiful surroundings with stunning views. We had the best retreat with amazing food as well. The host was so attentive and lovely.

I just came back from a 3 night retreat at Nomada and I loved loved loved it 😍😍😍 The house and it’s surroundings are beautiful and magical ✨ The hosts are incredible and they made me feel like a princess in their castle. Kat is an amazing yoga teacher, massage therapist and her cooking skills are mind blowing. I went for an active retreat waking up early with breakfast in the beautiful garden, followed by yoga at the pool. Later in the morning we would go on an hike or kayaking to then come home to another delicious lunch in the garden. After lunch we chilled in and around the pool eating fruit, drinking tea, reading, writing or just staring at the beautiful mountains around us. After a bit of relaxing time we would do another yoga session at the pool followed by a delicious dinner either in the garden or inside the house by the fireplace. To end these already magical days, we would lay down comfortably by the fire place to do yoga Nidra sessions 🤎✨ I can go on and on about how amazing this place is, but the best advise I can give is for you to come and experience it for yourself!

We just spent a lovely, peaceful weekend break at Nomada mountain retreat! So nice to escape Barcelona for a few days and unwind in the mountains. The casita is rural, stylish and very comfortable – had the best night’s sleep. The pool and deck is great for reading a book, taking a snooze, or going for a refreshing dip. We tried Kat’s delicious homemade cooking including: pizza, oat waffles, roast veg + salsa verde. Also had a relaxing but strong massage to release all the tension. Can’t wait to go back! <3

We had an amazing holiday at Nomada Eco Mountain Retreat last summer. The property is in a beautiful location, perfectly placed wether you want to sight see, explore, adventure or just relax by the sea, which is an easy 20 minute drive away
We stayed in the casita for a week and it had everything we needed.
Every morning(and most afternoons) started with a dip in the well kept and very clean pool.
We visited with our 2 young children and found the property to be very child friendly.
Kat is a great cook and we were pleased to enjoy a meal prepared by her while our 2 boys played with her 2 boys as the sun down.
Can’t recommend a stay with this lovely family enough.
We will return!!!!!

Just the most beautiful place to connect with nature and let all of your stress melt away. I absolutely love the one day yoga retreats (I have done 3 now, and I’m booked on the next one!). Everything about the day is so well thought out and simply perfect – The yoga, the surroundings, the welcoming and super friendly hosts and the most amazing delicious food! I always leave with a profound sense of peace/relaxation and a very large smile on my face 🙂

One of the most magical places I have ever been to! We stayed at the casita, a cozy and bright little Spanish house, lost in the wild and insanely beautiful and dreamy countryside. Kat and Tim gave us such a warm and lovely welcome – we felt instantly at home and comfortable and will definitely come back! We love their sustainable approach to everything, even the pool is solar powered. There is lots to do in the area – from white sandy beaches to the river with its lush surroundings and old little villages… Our small kids loved the pool, trampoline and swing on the tree 🙂 Thanks so much and hasta muy muy pronto!!!!

What an amazing place! From the minute we arrived at dusk, with fairy lights glittering in the olive trees, and found the beautiful house nestled in its mountain surroundings, we knew we were in for a treat. Kat and Tim and their boys Theo and Rudy gave us such a warm welcome and we enjoyed delicious vegetarian food, even trying local Catalan speciality, calcots (big spring onions) cooked on the BBQ.
Details make it really special: comfy beds, crisp fresh linen, flowers…and the views from the balcony are breath-taking. We loved cooling off in the chlorine-free pool as well. So much to enjoy, a truly magical place with such a laid-back, peaceful vibe. If you crave a break from life’s rush and to savour beautiful wilderness, this mountain retreat is just perfect.

Mas de Garrido is a unique spot in the mountains of Catalonia. Kat, Tim and the whole family made us feel special, at home. Every single detail in the tent and the whole place showed how much love and effort has been invested in this little paradise. Kat’s breakfasts and lunches were fantastic, and her holistic treatments were done with the same love and dedication, everything with natural products. This place and the hosts are truly a hidden gem. I hope to be back soon to breathe some fresh air and relax and play with Marley. Thanks for everything!

What a stunning location for a retreat. The perfect place to escape and unwind and be taken care of by amazing hosts Tim and Kat surrounded by nature. Highly recommended..We can’t wait to return!

Incredibly welcoming, beautiful views, fresh air, wonderful family, delicious nutritious food, walks, canoeing and not to mention the reviving yoga. Stayed solo in the caselito for 3 nights. Carefully decorated by the owners, exceptionally comfortable, everything you really need is there. It’s a beautiful part of Catalonia that’s got plenty of culture and history, as well as a ton of nature’s blessings. I haven’t had a trip quite like it in a long time and would massively recommend it to any person, couple or family looking for a different approach to a Catalan holiday. 😍

Always a joy to visit. A beautiful location, lovely people and gorgeous accommodation! I particularly recommend tea in the garden and yoga lessons on the terrace.

Had a wonderful massage from Kat, surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of their stunning mountain home – every view is breathtaking. Kat is warm and attentive and takes care of every beautiful detail. The whole experience was sublime and I’ll be returning for further treatments and pampering.

Breath taking! The surroundings are so mesmerizing, you can just sit and look at the sky/ mountains/ trees for hours. I stayed here for two nights but longer would’ve been better. There is so much to do and see but you also want to enjoy this amazing casita. The casita has everything you need and it’s super cute. The bed is super comfortable, the shower is good and the view from every angle is amazing.
Kathryn is an amazing host and person, super friendly and helpful.
I’ve enjoyed every minute and I am definitely coming back to enjoy it more!

Kathryn was an amazing host from start to finish. She gave great instructions for how to get to the casita and even saved us when we were in a really tight spot due to changing travel plans. The casita itself was an oasis and we wish we could have stayed for longer. Everything was peaceful, impeccably clean and felt curated for comfort and relaxation. We didn’t use the pool but it looked fab and the surroundings were great for walks at all time of day, we even went on a starlit stroll. The road to the property is a bit rocky but our rental car managed just fine. Also the friendly family cat and dog were hanging about every now and then and were honestly one of the highlights of our stay.

We loved the casita! Kathryn was very kind and helpful with everything. The family animals are very cute and friendly. We stayed there 4 nights and i could have spent the whole time sitting under the olive and almond trees reading and admiring the scenery. The road to the casita is rocky and has some ground sills, we recommend a small off road car. And although it seems that you are deep in the backcountry, the beach is only 30 minutes away. We would love to come back one day!

If you have a knack for the outdoors and are looking to escape the hectic daily routine, then this little guesthouse is a perfect getaway to recharge your batteries. The secluded house is nestled in the foothills of the Serres de Cardó-el Boix and is a 2km drive from the main road. As most of the track is rather rocky and bumpy you’ll need a car with a raised undercarriage – the DR EVO5 did it for us.
We had the whole pool to ourselves and the nearest beach was only roughly a 20min drive away. Apart from sulking in the sun, there is loads more to see and do within a max. 1.5h drive.
Kathryn was a super host, who gave us great tips and was very welcoming, attentive and helpful throughout the entirety of our 10-day stay. Breakfast was also very delicious and made with great care.
We really enjoyed our stay here and are very thankful for Kathryn and her family for having us.

Superb scenery/walks & loads of wildlife including Golden & Bonelli’s Eagles! Kat & Tim are great hosts and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at their property.

Amazing place to disconnect from the routine! La Casita is well equipped and if you are planning an eco-friendly adventure this is a great spot. Very comfortable beds, amazing pool and if you are traveling with children they will love the swing and “tirolina” -zipline-.
It has great routes for hiking around the house.
The access from the main road is not paved, however, every car can get there!
The host is super friendly and helpful!

We arrived at the Casita at night to be greeted by Kathryn, the friendliest and loveliest host (accompanied by the cat 😊). The Casita itself was gorgeous and very typically Mediterranean with all the necessary amenities. It was very clean with comfortable beds. If you’re after privacy, then the Casita is far enough away from the main house but still close enough to if you need help with anything. We woke up in the morning to the most stunning views and grounds and later in the day enjoyed a glass of cava watching the sky turn pink over the mountains. It would have been a pleasure to stay there for the views alone. Despite being off-grid we barely noticed and wouldn’t have known were it not for the solar panels. This made the stay feel very comfortable.  On top of being very friendly Catherine was very informative and happy to talk about the house and how it works for those that are interested. Both her and her husband Tim were also helpful in recommending local places to visit. We totally enjoyed our stay and genuinely would return in the future. Anyone would be lucky to stay here! We only have the most positive things to say about the hosts and the place!

La Casita is a lovely place in the middle of the nature. The perfect choice if you’re looking for a place isolated, quiet, eco conscious and beautiful. I would totally recommend it to friends or couples for a romantic scape.
We stayed there for 3 days and everything was perfect and memorable (the house, the swimming pool, the breakfast, the amazing views, the Cardó mountains…). The house decoration is also very nice, with a garden private area with a table (perfect for breakfast!) and a terrace with fantastic views, specially in the morning when you wake up!
Don’t miss it!

MARVELOUS EXPERIENCE. The mix of location, house, landscape, etc will make our week there UNFORGETTABLE. Kathryn, Tim & family have created a very SPECIAL place. They are a very nice family with a very positive energy. The swimming pool, the terrace, the clear sky at night …all great ingredients. At the end, we even liked the bumpy road to the house ;). Our child is already asking when we are going back!!!

The casita was a really tranquil and restful stay. Kat and her family are very welcoming and hospitable. There are three very friendly animals, two cats and a dog, who are very easy going. The pool is lovely and cool, and most importantly clean. The casita is rustic and charming, and spotlessly clean. It has a simple but well equipped kitchenette and a very comfortable bed on the mezzanine level. It stays cool in the heat of the day and at night. A highlight for us was a clear view of the stars in the Milky Way at night as there is little light pollution. We really enjoyed our stay.

Kat and her family are the sweetest and most attentive hosts one could wish for.
The casita is the cutest and the views are breathtaking.
If you want to enjoy some getting away from everything and spend time surrounded by nature this is the place to be!
I had the best massage given by Kat who is also a certified yoga teacher.

Beautiful place, in a beautiful location, with a beautiful family. Gave me a glimpse of the kind f lifestyle I’ve always dreamed of, and hope to have the luxury to have myself one day. Worth every penny – a great place for me and my baby daughter to rekindle our bond and reconnect to each other as we reconnect with nature.

The casita is a beautifully secluded house in a small mountain range near the Ebro river. It is very cozy and has all the amenities one can ask for, while being “off the grid” to ease you conscience. Kathryn is a very warm and welcoming host. She was easy to communicate with, gave us all the instructions we needed to get to her place and welcomed us at the house to show us around and give us useful tips about the area. We definitely recommend staying there and hope to return soon during the warmer months!

‘La casita’ is a special place, beautifully arranged and made with love. It has a lovely view and a beautiful terrace to enjoy the quietness of it’s surroundings. Kathryn est particulièrement disponible et bienveillante, pleine de bons conseils. Elle et sa famille vivent dans la maison principale du domaine, et leur discrétion est remarquable.
Mention spéciale pour les massages qu’elle propose. Divin !
À savoir la maison est accessible via un chemin caillouteux d’environ 2 km, mais tout à fait praticable pour une voiture lambda !

La casita es perfecta para desconectar de todo. Mucha paz, silencio y sensación de bienestar.
La terracita privada en la casa, las vistas y la piscina son un plus para repetir sin duda alguna y si con las fotos ya apetece ir, en persona todavía gana más. Recomendable tal y como dice en el anuncio ir con un coche alto, ya que el camino asfaltado hace aguas con las que es mucho mejor ir con un coche alto para evitar rascar.

La casa de Kathryn queda en medio de la naturaleza con vistas espectaculares a la montaña. Es un lugar muy tranquilo y ideal para descansar y desconectar de la vida urbana si normalmente vives en una ciudad. La casa es muy agradable y acogedora, muy íntima, ideal para una pareja. La han reformado con mucho gusto y ojo para los detalles! Además lo que nos ha gustado mucho (y es un ejemplo de seguir)es el hecho que la casita es autosuficiente – la energía viene de placas fotovoltaicas! El agua proviene de agua de lluvia. Volveremos seguro!!!

Super séjour dans un lieu magnifique, dépaysant, calme, en pleine nature. Idéal pour visiter le delta et l’arrière-pays.

Een hele mooie plek met een fijn zwembad (wel rekening houden met de time-slots). Goed om tot rust te komen maar ook leuk als uitvalsbasis om uitstapjes te maken naar de delta, Miravet, kayakken etc.

Es una apuesta sostenible en un lugar maravilloso. Buena combinación entre la tranquilidad de la casa y la accesibilidad a lugares para visitar.

La casa está en un paraje idílico, un lugar perfecto para desconectar. Kathryn y su marido nos ayudaron en todo lo que necesitamos. El único pero es que no hay wifi, esto es perfecto para desconectar pero si quieres planificar excursiones mejor hacerlo antes de ir.

La Casita és el lloc perfecte per desconnectar. Hi vam passar un cap de setmana molt agradable. L’entorn és inmillorable i la comunicació amb la Kat i la seva família va ser perfecta. Respectuosos i responsables amb el medi ambient.

Es un espacio muy acogedor, con encanto, perfectamente integrado en el entorno natural.
Impresionantes vistas en la zona de la piscina.
Hay mucho cuidado en los detalles de la casa. Destacar la bienvenida de los anfitriones y su interés por la comodidad del huésped.

Un luguar único rodeado de naturaleza y a media hora en coche de playas y otros parajes muy singulares. Pasamos una semana en la Casita de Kat y Tim con nuestro hijo de dos años y guardaremos un muy buen recuerdo.
La casa estaba perfectamente limpia y siguen todas las medidas para asegurar un entorno seguro en el contexto actual (COVID19).

Superbe environnement très sympa et écolo !!! entouré d’olivier et d’amandier, endroit très calme et hôte très discret . juste attention aux chemins d’accès roulez doucement car ils sont assez difficiles .

Emplacement reculé de tout et au calme. Le logement est très propre et conforme aux photos.
Attention à l’accès car il s’agit d’une piste en terre et cailloux de 10/15 minutes mais il ne faut pas avoir de véhicule trop bas !
L’accueil de Kathryn et de Tim sera très chaleureux et on se sent très bien dans ce petit coin calme et reposant

Hem passat uns dies tranquils, en un entorn molt bonic.
La casa està impecable i té tot el necessari per passar uns dies.
La piscina és una meravella, tant per la mida, el fet que no sigui clorada, i que pots descansar al sol o a l’ombra d’un dels petits arbres que hi ha al costat.
Kathryn és molt amable i considerada, així que tot va anar molt bé.
Tornarem per desconnectar de la feina 🙂

Petit nid insolite et écologique en pleine montagne. Hébergement dans l’oliveraie d’un couple adorable avec leurs enfants. Casita et ses annexes (piscine) propres, relativement bien équipé, hôtes accueillants et disponibles. Accès assez compliqué, prévoir un bon véhicule de chemin. Je recommande cet hébergement, pour ceux qui recherchent le calme, la nature et le dépaysement.

Wegen des schlechten Wetters war unser Aufenthalt leider kürzer als geplant. Trotzdem haben wir das Häuschen und die wunderbare Umgebung sehr genossen. Der Anfahrtsweg ohne SUW ist zwar etwas abenteuerlich aber machbar. Das Frühstück unterm Olivenbaum war sehr lecker. Und mit den Katzen war für den tierischen Spass gesorgt 🙂
Debido al mal tiempo, nuestra estancia fue, lamentablemente, más corta de lo previsto. Sin embargo, realmente disfrutamos de la casa y el maravilloso entorno. La calle de acceso sin SUW es un poco aventurero pero factible. El desayuno bajo el olivo era delicioso. También nos divertimos mucho con los gatos 🙂

Pasamos dos noches en casa de Kathryn y nos parecieron pocas. Kathryn y su familia son encantadores, y nunca nos faltó de nada. Nos ofrecieron su ayuda en todo momento y nos guiaron siempre.
La casa es perfecta, amplia y muy limpia. La cama nos pareció muy cómoda. La cocina tiene lo imprescindible y más que suficiente: no echamos de menos absolutamente nada. El baño, perfecto, con una amplia ducha. La terraza, un gustazo, con unas vistas espectaculares, tanto de día como en una noche despejada. Lo mejor, la estufa de leña: No pudimos disfrutar de la piscina porque fuimos en Abril y el tiempo no nos acompañó (esa es nuestra excusa para volver de nuevo en verano), pero relajarnos por la noche después de todo un día de excursiones, con un buen vino, junto a la chimenea.. eso no tiene precio.
Nos quedamos con ese bonito recuerdo, y esperamos volver muy pronto.

Una casa en un enterno muy bonito, el sitio ideal para desconectar entre pajaros y olivos. Kat y su familia nos acogieron con mucho cariño y nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Es el sitio ideal para los amantes de naturaleza y de la tranquilidad.

Kat et Tim sont des personnes très sympathiques et aux petits soins de leurs hôtes. Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux, perdus en pleine nature au milieu des oliviers. Deux nuits dépaysantes et reposantes. La location est très confortable, bien équipée et bien décorée. L’environnement idyllique se mérite, la piste pour y accéder, bosselée, se fait oublier dès que vous arrivez sur place…Le paysage, la maison, la piscine, le chien et le chat, tout est magnifique. Merci encore.
